This article is not relevant to Hekate's cult, but since modern witches like myself, use cartomancy to help themselves and others by understanding situations better and seeing the future in a way, I decided to write a blog post about the French syst

When we have to perform an important ritual it is necessary to choose the best time or at least not a bad time for it. This will take less than 50% of the energy we are going to dedicate to the ritual. It’s not enough to choose the appropriate day, planetary hour, planetary power and lunar light. For rituals of initiations, dedications, talismans, strong commitments, evocations, changing major influences or interfering to important things, we should choose the best time.
Concerning elections, there is no such thing as perfect time or if there will be, it shouldn’t be near the time you want to perform the ritual. So, keep in mind, there are many rules, but all together aren’t practical.

I have written about the Lunar Light and the Lunar Mansions in the previous articles. I will present an example by examining the next Full Moon. We will see if it is appropriate for charging a pentagram with the energy of Hekate, to empower and guide us on daily interactions, taking decisions, making the right choice so that we can become better people and come close to Her. So, we will check if the next Full Moon is appropriate for that.

Astrology was the most significant occult science in Europe during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. It was the link between magick and science. It was the most used divinatory art of all. Yet, because not all people could afford an education in geometry and mathematics, neither they could buy the organs to find the planetary positions in the sky, a lot of people turned to Geomancy for guidance, divination and advice.

In this page, you will find the astrological houses that were used from the Middle Ages until the Renaissance by Geomancers. Advice them to find the house of the question before casting the shield chart and the house chart. The first line shows the general meaning from various sources, mainly from John Michael Greer. Every system of divination has some techniques to aid the practitioner enter to that mind state for divination, to receive the messages from God. In Geomancy, the other side is the Cosmic Soul, the conscious part of the world that creates the movement of the body of the world. Geomancy, Geomanteia (γεωμαντεία) is a Hellenic word consisted of two words, gaia=earth and manteia=divination. Divination with earth, with soil, was a common method of divination from 1200 a.C. till the end of 17th century in Europe. It was so common to see people practising Geomancy daily that the books of the Middle Ages and Renaissance didn't contain any instructions on how to cast a geomantic chart because people were familiar with the method. Astrology and Geomancy were the most famous oracular techniques to obtain messages and guidance for centuries. The question is what happened? Why Geomancy has been disappeared from our modern occult world? And why a devotee of Hekate should learn about that method? Those are valid questions that they are going to be answered in this introductory article on geomancy.

Almost a year ago, I wrote an article with Hekate in the G.D. Temple Tarot. It is time to expand it and be more analytical. In this article I am going to focus on the Moon card of the Major Arcana and how the Goddess is related with that card.

The Triumph XXI of the Rider Waite Smith deck and its connection with the Goddess Hekate, especially seeing Her as the Mother of Binah projecting as the Bride of Binah in the path of Tau.
The card was painted by Adepts Pamela Colman Smith under the instructions of Arthur Edward Waite, but he also got inspired by the card of the Tarot de Marseilles. Waited added the second wand but he didn’t want to be black, in order to keep some secrets.
The oval shape is drawn upon medieval symbolism of the Christ, who was surrounded by almond shapes with leaves. The four creatures around are those from the vision of Ezekiel and Revelation. So the picture was inspired by Christ and the Apocalypse.
