Poem: The Roads of Athens

Glory, Honor and Wingless Nike, have from years fled,
they walk around the Athenian roads pretending to be dead.
They abandoned the gracious Acropolis since the old days,
what these Goddesses can give, today nobody takes.

Sanctuary of Hekate Closed

The sanctuary of Hekate in Athens used to open 5 months each year for the visitors to see the sites. For the year 2017, it opened only for 1 month for unknown reasons without any kind of announcement.

Eleusinion - Sanctuary of Hekate

The sanctuary of Hekate is located in Athens, in the Eleusinion which was devoted to the worship of Demeter and Persephone in Athens. It was founded in the 6th century. B.C and it is located between Acropolis and the Agora, on the northern foothills of the Acropolis, south of the Agora. The sanctuary of Hekate is standing on one of the most important crossroads of the ancient Athens. The road which connects Acropolis, Eleusinion, Agora and Dipylon (gate of Athens) is the Panathenaic Way.

Theurgy and Philosophy are two different methods which lead to the union with God.
