When I was 20 years old, my teacher in Wicca and I were discussing books about Magick. I asked her one day her opinion on Eliphas Levi History Of Magic. She told me that there are better books on this subject and that this book is outdated. Years later, I asked the same question to Sorita d' Este, around 2015. She told me the same thing. The problem is that I paid a lot of money (46 euros) to buy the two volumes translated in Hellenic/Greek and I had to read them eventually. The work that has been done by the Greek masonic publishing house in this book is awful. At the beginning of 2022, I started this task and in this article, I am sharing with you the main points of that work along with some of my thoughts.

This is the first article on a series of Lunar Magick or Magick of the Moon. In Witchcraft, the energy of the moon is basically restricted in the lunar light aspect, but in the series, we are going to expand this very basic knowledge to other aspects too. As Hekate is the Goddess of the Moon and the Goddess of Magick, I think that all of Her devotees should know -if not practice, this type of magick, which is considered ancient and Hermetic.

You know the writer Emmanuel Rhoides (1836-1904) from his novel The Papess Joanne, in which he is making fun with the Medieval mistakes of the Catholic church, based on ignorance and lack of education. It made him famous outside the physical borders of Hellas, as the spiritual borders of my country cannot be set. He wrote in a newspaper and then he became a headmaster of two newspapers.

A daughter in the woods created a sacred circle,
she burnt a mix of herbs and she was holding an amount of myrtle.
She called the elementals at the corners until the dawn was coming,

This month, December 2017, I gave exams for the brown belt in Judo. The brown belt is the last belt before giving exams for the grade of 1st Dan black belt. The brown belt (1st kyu) in Judo is the most important belt in my opinion because as students we have seen by now the Gokyo no Waza which is the material of techniques learned in Kodokan since 1895. Teaching for five years Chapkoondo and Taekwondo, and heading for my third black belt at the age of 25 in Judo and also having passed time studying magic, I came to spot some similarities between magic and martial arts.

A question that I had when I was beginning to establish a stronger connection with the Goddess Hekate, was "how can I do it?" I was invoking the Goddess inside the circle, I knew the necessary mythology about Her, a big part of it I had read in Witchcraft books. When I felt the calling from Her, I saw this matter of connection more seriously. Well, I couldn't avoid it. The Goddess was communicating with me, there was no way not to see the signs. I liked that She wanted to work with me. I tried to do some things and I also asked for the guidance of my friend Katerina, who was also a devotee. One of the things I did, was to read, to study, to search about Her. And from that starting point, I made a secure ground for building a safe and strong relationship.

I have already written an article about this subject but I want to expand and share another spell from PGM VII 429-458 In that spell Osiris is called with voces magicae implying their secret names. The interesting thing is that the spell is short and quick but it also requires knot magick if you release the katadesmos in special places, using again the famous voces magicaes ASKEI KAI TASKEI (as the ancient text writes).
This binding spell is very powerful as the ancient text intones. It can cause illness, make enemies, destroy and alter a situation, so use it to promote good magick according to the wiccan rede. Take a lead tablet from a water pipe of cold water. Write with a headless needle made of bronze:

Katadesmoi in plural, katadesmos in singular are an ancient hellenic magickal technique. It requires a lead tablet and a nail. The desired purpose is simply written in the lead and then it is fold in half and with a nail on the center it is bound. The instructions of how to make a lead tablet efficently for magickal uses could be found in ancient papyri and ancient tablets.

It amazes me how so many traditions follow these ancient protocols and roles,
