Hekate in Athenaeus' Deipnosophistae

In the lines that follow we can find a reference from the work of Athēnaios Naukratitēs , Deipnosophistae writing that as deipnon for Goddess Hekate was offered bread made of wheat.

Athenaeus Naukratites
Athenaeus (2nd- 3rd century AD) was an ancient Greek biologist, physiologist, zoologist, gastronome, dietician, rhetor
and grammarian. His main work was the Deipnosophistae from which only 15 books survived. In this work there is a dinner with 29 guests. The Athenaeus work is a source of information for a number of earliest lost textbooks.

English Translation

And Epicharmus, in his Hebe's marriage, and in his Muses -and this play is an emendation of the former one- thus enumerates the different kinds of loaves—“The krivanites( panloaf), the homorus, the statites (loaf made of rye) , the encris (the loaf made of barley), the half loaf (made of wheat),” which Sophron also mentions in his “Female Actors”, saying: Deipnon for goddesses krivanites ( pan-loaves) and homori and a half-loaf (made of wheat) for Hekate.
